  • A true keloid, as in scar tissue that kept growing and didn't go away? Or a painful bump that was pus filled and red? If it was a true keloid, you might be suceptable and piercing anything might carry a risk of one. If it was the common bumps that eventually go away with treatment, then it's less worrisome. They can usually be avoided, but are common with piercings that get bumped or otherwise irritated.
  • some people are genetically more prone to keloid, if that is what it is.
