Have u ever owned a Pug that had serious breathing problems? Did they live long? Need surgury or meds?

I owned a pug once, he was a great little dog, They have problems breathing due to their squashed in face. Take him to the vet and have them check to see if any surgery can be done to help. Sometimes, they can tighten those skin folds and it helps.

I've never owned one but hear that's common in pugs due to their breeding with the squashed in faces. More often than not they end up needing surgeries. So sad, they're such cute little dogs and so funny. I'm so sorry for your loss:(
