They exist its there are just less of them. As the number of people who use Apple computers rise so will the number of viruses. and for pete's sake stop typing in all caps its annoying as hell. Its like you're yelling FIRE HELP GOD DAMMIT HELP ME!!!!

Yes they do exist but they are much rarer than windows virus's. No I have never had one, but then I hate Apple PC's. Yes, installing a firewall is ALWAYS a good idea and rarely does anything to performance.

If we’re talking about Mac OS X, then no, there are actually no known viruses out in the wild. There are a few (less than five) Trojan horses out there, but a Trojan isn’t *technically* a virus. Of course, turning on the firewall is always a good idea. The firewall settings are in a different location depending on which version of Mac OS X you’re running, but it should be pretty easy to find—especially if you’re running Mac OS X v.10.4 or newer, where you can just type “firewall” into the Spotlight (search) field. HTH!

They do exist. There just aren't many since the vast majority of computers out there are Windows based. Firewall is always a good idea, they protect against a lot more than just viruses.
