  • I think it's great idea. I would also like to see texting banned totally in the automobile, and rules put in place for cellphone use.
  • Still it won't change one thing. Kids will still get drunk no matter the legal driving age.
  • I read a newspaper article about this. The insurance companies want it changed also. The legal age in Connecticut is 16, which I feel is too young. The statistics show more accidents and fatal accidents for teens, so I agree with raising the driving age, with the exception of employment and family issues.
  • I think it makes some sense and could make a difference in saving lives of all ages but it's such a hardship, especially for people in more rural areas, areas I've always lived in. Some kids get jobs early and it's so difficult for them to travel. What are they to do them? If there was a special provisional license for some people, as there is now in some states for kids under the age of 16, it would be okay I think to raise the age.
