Nope..she is rigid, self-righteous, against stem cell research, makes fun of global warming, wants to criminalize women for taking charge of their bodies...embraces extremism, engages in half-truths..reads the same "talking points" given her by the talking heads of her party over and over and over. She does not represent me at all. :( She smirks, she preens, she dodges, she weaves, she thinks she is so very very clever. I don't agree with her assessment of herself, nor do I identify with anything about her..she is against equal pay for equal work..she is Phyllis Schafly (sp?) come to life and on the ticket! :(

No way... I find her nomination as VP as an insult to women. She is not very intelligent, she is pro-life, pro-gun and pro a lot of things that I am against. I find it hilarious McCain chose her almost as a bribe for women to vote for him. I am completely swayed the other way because of it.
-
Not at all. She's anti science , anti birth control and anti stem cell research. She wants to teach creationism to MY children. She is a fundamentalist and she does not give a crap about the rights of non believers.
-
No one but i can represent my values and beliefs :)
-
You are not going to find anyone who truly represents women (or men) because no matter what what their beliefs and values are, there are always going to be those who oppose them. If they are anti anything, the pro people will complain and vice versa. It is the nature of politics.
-
Not in the least...I think this was just a ploy to try to sway some votes. She's too right wing...anti choice, pro gun, anti stem cell research, anti gay, and not at all experienced enough to be our "number 2."
-
Haha...absolutely not.

My answer is going to be entirely different, than the others posted here. John McCain needed a boost in his campaign effort. he chose this lady for several different reasons, the main being her past government experience and being a mother of 4 or 5 children. She has been a mayor and now governor of Alaska. she has proven herself in these positions. Lets face it, NO ONE is going to satisfy the beliefs of everyone.

No. I believe in sex education, birth control and pro choice (although I hope the choice is life). I don't believe you should encourage your daughter (or son) to marry at a young age due to pregnancy. I am for gun control. It makes me sick when she is given high credit for not aborting her child because he is special....I volunteer for different events with special people....they are no less than you and I are....

NO. palin and i differ on the following issues: 1. she opposes abortion/birth control. arent 6+ billion miracles enough? the world cant sustain the miracles we already have on this planet, let alone bring in more unwanted children. lets concentrate on supporting the miracles that are already here! 2. she supports creationism being taught in schools. i believe that a separation of church and state is necessary for a pluralistic society like ours. subjecting your religious views on the populace is anticonstitutional. 3. she is antiscience. thats due to ignorance and her inflexible religious views. 4. shes antienvironment and antiglobal warming. she would facilitate the destruction of the planet through procorporate, antienvironment policies. at this critical juncture in time, we cant afford to have another antienvironmental candidate. i believe we are on the brink of environmental disaster. 5. shes antigay. thats just plain bigoted. her antiequality policies towards gay people are indicative of her closemindedness. its hypocriticcal of someone who bitches about inequality and discrimination so much. 6. she opposes gun control. arent progun and prolife platforms completely incongruous to one another? its insanity. 7. she opposes stem cell research. i think she could personally benefit from stem cell research herself. thats only the tip of the iceberg. but thats enough to sink the titanic.

No, not even close. I find her to be ridiculous and the thought of her being a heart beat away from the presidency to be very frightening. Unfortunately, I am not American and cannot vote.
-
Gov. Palin has her own believes to which she is entitled. Never the less she does not represent my values and beliefs in any way, shape or manner.
-
Regardless of gender she doesn't represent the values and beliefs of any intelligent person.
-
Not a lot of Politician women do

No one person is EVER going to perfectly reflect another's values and beliefs. However, she more accurately reflects mine than a lot of other politicians. Try watching Greta Von Susternan's interviews with her, rather than Katie Couric's. I have some personal experience with Katie Couric, and I know that she is very good at creating a story where none exists, I guess would be the polite way to say it. Manipulating the interview, the cameras and the people she invites to speak in order to create a lie would probably be more accurate. She does not adhere to the standards of journalism might be another way to say it. So I didn't even bother to watch her interview. I like that Palin is gutsy enough to take on the old boy network. I like it that she manages to run the state of Alaska and her family. I like it that she is comfortable in herself and doesn't feel she needs to change or edit herself to fit the molds provided by New York and LA. I like it that she let Trig live. I like it that she lets her husband be who he is and gives him space and time to do his thing. I like the wealth of knowledge that she poured out in the Von Susternan interview. http://www.foxnews.com/video2/video08.html?maven_referralObject=3190705&maven_referralPlaylistId=&sRevUrl=http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,451447,00.html I can't find the other parts, and I'm out of time to look, but here is part of it.
