Other than blocking someone completely, is there any way to stop someone from sending me invitations to stuff on Facebook?

You could always resort to murder, although I understand the consequences of being caught are a rather poor alternative to a few irritating Facebook invitations. ;-)

I just ignore them. I don't think there is a way, unless you delete the person from your friends.
