If I remember it right, in 2000. I was forced to open an email account because one of my professors in college required us to submit a take-home exam via email. I said "forced" because I wasn't an "Internet person" at that time.

2006ish... I have had 5 other account since then, due to spam, junk mail, etc... And those annoying people who won't delete your e-mail address from the address book.

Funny you should ask, I was cleaning up my Yahoo account and I still have saved emails from 1998 as well as several emails from a couple of people who are no longer alive. I guess 1998 would be my first email account.

Don't remember the year. I did bulletin boards first and then set up an Alltel account at a State of NE rate on my old Acer PC. Of course, it was dial up. I used the same address as I do now. At first I used the old IBM and went though the University of Nebraska mainframe to access the Internet.
