  • This works for me - avoid Politics and Religion unless you want to debate with people who disagree with you all night. Theres plenty more to do here than that!
  • probably but you'll get dr'd for questioning anything that people like. life moves on
  • Yes and probably for me even answering this question:)
  • On the subject of politics, you'll get attacked no matter which side you come down on. People are equal opportunity offenders. So if you want to jump into the ring, be prepared for a fight.
  • I know all about it. It's like letting your dog take a dump on a picture of the pope in a room full of Catholics. Let the DR's commence...
  • I did. Go Nader.
  • No, I did not know that.
  • Really? Let me try: A politician's job is to do what the people want. Add to that the fact that they become indebted to whoever funds them, and you find that politicians, by nature, are not leaders. Including Obama.
  • Your position will be attacked. Your opinion will be attacked. You personally, will not be attacked. I know it seems that way, especially since your political and religious beliefs define who you are. If you want to jump in the debate regarding politics or religion, you had best check your feelings at the door and get a thick skin. If you can do that, and have the courage to have someone else tear your beliefs apart, you might actually learn something.
  • people are people and it seems as though disinformation and ignorance run rampant.
  • Yep... ANY political, religious, or same-sex stance will get your DRed. Happens all the time. Is that good or bad? Personally, I think it's bad. we make a big deal out of the fact that "everyone has a right to their own opinion", but when it's given, then the DRers hit you. BTW: A VERY good portion of the political stuff I've seen about ANY of the candidates for President or VP have been fabrications. Always check them here - http://www.snopes.com/politics/politics.asp
  • Yes I did know that. Did you know that on Answerbag you'll get attacked if you dare to even question John McCain's motive and leadership abilities? Did you know that on Answerbag perfectly good answers can get downrated for absolutely no known reason whatsoever? I was even attacked, in writing, for saying "Isn't that sweet?". Go figure. Points are also awarded by posi-trolls who do nothing more than go through people's submissions and give positive ratings. Interesting, isn't it?
  • Being attacked for not supporting the chosen one is prevalent everywhere, on the net, in school, in the workplace, etc... However, more often than not, those who stoop to attacking are the same ones who cannot tell you anything about Obama other than "hope" and "change". Ironic, don't you think?
  • Yes, it is common knowledge, that in politics and religion, you will get DRed a lot, for your opinion.
  • And guess what? You'll get attacked if you dare to even question John McCain's motives and leadership abilities. Strange, isn't it?
  • Yes. Same thing applies if you dare to even question John McCain's motives and leadership abilities. People have been attacked for much less.
  • Oh well, attack me then.
  • no, but I'm not surprised. I support Obama but I don't think it makes sense to attack you for having your own opinion and concerns. Some people just can't handle other points of view, and they should avoid sensitive topics.
  • Any politica, LGBT or religious question will get DRd no matter what your position is. Those are the "hot" topics that get people riled up all of the time.
  • I did not know this, but I would have assumed it. Do you mean it would not be the same with McCain?
