i have lots of friends and i hang up with them all the time they are cool . i never feel lonely with them. but i feel really lonely when i break up with someone , i feel like no one knows how it feels but me .. :(

alone and lonely are different things and I feel lonely in rooms of a million people or when I am by myself (alone) ..I have never truly connected with anyone. I have had friends per say but I haven't really connected to the point that I can be around them and not feel lonely. maybe it comes from an abusive childhood and never feeling and always being told i was never wanted or never good enough to "belong" anywhere.. who knows but I cn promise you that a lot of people on AB know exacly what you feel.

Yes. I feel alone in a crowd alot of the time because noone ever seems to quite "get" me - to have someone, a friend, who understands you will help with the alone feeling. *hug*
