That is the last name I'd expect to see under the concept of "someone who has taken journalism to a 'new low'". FOX News has taken journalism to such a series of "new lows" for so long that it would be difficult for *anyone* to achieve a "new low" worse than any of the records set by FOX News.

Keith Olbermann is a breath of fresh air. When no other mainstream network reporter dared confront the loony right-wing Neocon juggernaut, Keith Olbermann took the lead. Before Keith (B.K.) the cable news networks limited their content to celebrity scandals, tear-jerking murders of cute blonde girls, and kitty-up-a-tree rescues. After Keith (A.K.), real news is gradually replacing infotainment. The MSNBC poobahs finally noticed Keith's excellent ratings, and now they've hired Rachel Maddow, an excellent reporter from AirAmerica. Rachel is educated (Ph.D., Oxford), informed, and brilliant. The other news networks have no one, nothing, to compete with Keith and Rachel on MSNBC. But thanks for a feeble attempt to make a case. :)
