What is happening to the website Live QnA? It seems many of its members are leaving it and coming here. Even its top user, Scott D (their Firebrand) is now here. What's going on?

Who me? I deny all charges. I am innocent ... INNOCENT, I tell you. Besides ... I'm not that HOT. ;-) I once had high hopes for QnA. However, this past year's "musical QnA Team" rotation -- and their accompanying lack of understanding -- was the icing on the cake. Of course, elevating 5-star cheats to immortality, point-chasers who excreted worthless non-answers, etc. were each bad enough, but to institutionalize stupidity was the final straw. I left in July and only dropped in a couple of times since. CS turned me on to Answerbag a few days ago. I only regret that I didn't stumble across Answerbag a year (and about 300K points) ago. QnA Live will become a ghost town very soon. Here's a great idea: Microsoft would be wise to purchase Answerbag. Some of their best products were developed elsewhere (e.e, DOS, FrontPage, their AntiVirus apps, etc.). Who do I contact to broker the transaction? I need to get paid for all of that time spent on QnA Live.

As a former level nine top contributor, the reasons for some differ than others. I found that the Team (HA HA) is letting the site run amuk. There is noone on watch at that site. users may remove your content at will. and magically it may reappear or not. Depending on what mythical being deems it worthy or not. I had enough of the incitement and garbage, I choose not to be associated with a site that is an embarassment to intelligent Americans.One of the best features on this site is the abitlity to just see the Questions of those you choose to have as friends. If your in a testy mood you dont have to deal with the general population, great idea. Most questions here seem to be of a better nature IMHO.

I always stated that i was going to stay, which I gave up now. When I looked into questions lately over there, I looked at about 50 questions and I knew nobody of the askers. I almost chivered, I felt abandoned. I think we have to notify or rescue our remaining friends over there, before the ship sinks...

Well what can I say! Most people answering this question have been on QnA from the start, have helped build it up and in the end after a "team-change" got treated like crap.... Many were booted or banned for no reason, as they wanted to kill our wonderful community... There are many.. and I am sure once they find out about AB they will be here too.... Another great user Gonzo was just banned today... What can I say... QnA used to be the place we made it... Now most of us are here... so bye bye QnA, is all I can say... Ohhh no.. have to say one more thing... THANK YOU SO MUCH ALL FOR WELCOMING US HERE!!! YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL COMMUNITY TOO!! WE LOVE IT HERE!! HUGS :):) PS I used to be cs on QnA ( later cs Goddess of the Universe) so many long time QnA'er will refer to me or know me as cs :):)
