They are going fishing for people dumb enough to get hooked on credit cards. Just ignore the calls and you will not be charged any money if you do not activate. If someone calls and tells you that tell them to put it where the sun don"t shine.Mr Bill

Don't use them and they can't charge you. Cut 'em up to be sure. Don't give them any of your personal info.

Actually, I have to disagree with Mr. Bill. They aren't allowed to make cold calls if you don't want them. So when they call, ask for their name. Tell them you are writing it down. Tell them you want to be taken off their list and not contacted anymore and that if they do call again, you have their name and will report them. https://www.donotcall.gov/ This link tells you how to get on the do not call registry and where to file a complaint if they call after you've asked to be taken off their list. Also, if you have a credit card, call them and tell them that you don't want your name and number sold to other companies. I did that before the do not call registry came into being and I found that ended most of the telemarketing calls. It is pretty sad that your credit card company will sell your information to people who will try to drive up your credit card debt, but they do.

Just ignore them, or say you are reporting them if they call again. The bank for a while was always offering me credit cards and/or raising the limits on my existing cards. Don`t fall for it, many wise people once they get a card end up spending money they don`t have and regret it later. I am pretty good with my cards but a few drunken nights out I have put over hundred dollar rounds on them. Rounds of tequila, and pints of Heineken for people all round. I have woken up with a hangover and a credit card bill to pay off. Not good.
