No, the government, never. Nobody other than the parents. And not until there is a tracking chip that won't give you cancer or cause other medical issues. (have not heard of one yet) The parents should be very clear on the fact that the tracking abilities of the chip could easily be misused as well.

Of course not. Any sort of implanted chip could be extremely detrimental to the child's growth, since it is unknown what effects such a device could have on physical/neural development...And even if it was proven harmless, it is still a fundamental invasion of privacy - if something such as this were to occur, both the implanter of the chip and the parents themselves should be prosecuted. Parental rights get can shoved out the window for all I care.

Parents...maybe. It would go a long way in getting lost/abducted children back safely, but at the same time opens the door to more control of citizens. I am slightly on the fence about this one..but leaning more toward no than yes. Should the government have the right? Never!
