You could try a little bit of white cake frosting. Apply a small amount with a small brush. If you needed to you could add some food coloring to it. I'm not sure how long it would stay on, but it's the only thing safe I could think of.

If thier feet are pink you could maybe try some Caryola non-toxic marker on a back foot. A diiferent color ribbon tied around a back ankle might work too but they may chew it off.

You can clip away some fur to mark them. On puppies sometimes nailpolish is used but I'm not sure that is harmless for hamsters.

I suggest the dying of their feet with food coloring. If it is edible for people then I would feel safest using it.

a few years ago my black bear hamster had 6 babies. The only way i could tell them apart is by looking at the white markings under their belly. It took a while to remember the markings to tell them apart but its MUCH better then marking them with a marker or anything else.

Awww, you should most deff put pics of them on here, or something. my hamster died.:[ and im not sure.. you might be able to put something non toxic..thats washable. like marker or paint or something. look it up at a petstore or something.
