  • Have you tried changing the resolution? Right-click on the desktop and select properties. I believe it's the main tab in the window that comes up that will allow you to switch to a different resolution. Assuming your video card will be able to handle 2180 x 1024, see if it's in the drop-down list of available resolutions and then select it. Once you say "Ok", it will attempt to switch to that resolution, and if the screen looks ok, select the "keep this resolution" option. This is basically an issue with LCD monitors that they have a more difficult time displaying resolutions that are not a discrete multiple of the actual screen's resolution. They can display other resolutions, but they won't look as good. If you cannot find a matching resolution in the properties drop down, you may want to buy a newer video card. Or you could try some other resolutions to see if they work ok (e.g. 1920x1024, 1280x1024, etc.)
