Cigarettes are more harmful for you than cigars--not saying that cigars aren't harmful in the least, though. Cigarettes contain hundreds of chemicals/additives in them. Cigars contain no additives, and are usually only smoked occasionally. Also, most cigar smokers do not inhale the smoke into the lungs which is the case with cigarette smokers.
-
i heard that cigars are worse, but cigarettes are more addictive. cigarettes at least have a filter on it unlike the cigar which you get more chemicals into your system that are bad. They are both bad to get hooked on
-
Cigars are worse because they dont have the filter. But cigarettes are more addictive because they are more commonly excepted in society as being smoked socially.
-
As long as you don't inhale cigars, the worst thing that's going to happen is a cancer that is easily detectable and a lot easier to treat than something deep in the lungs.
-
Both/neither... Depends if you inhale a cigar it is MUCH worse than smoking cigarettes, but... smoking cigarettes can be addictive(courtesy of our tobacco companies) so one or two cigars a week if you don't inhale would be best.
-
ciagars are worse, especially if you inhale. the whole smoking thing is bad for your health.
-
I would say cigarettes, simply because most people don't inhale cigars. Both are bad tho.
-
dont get hooked and it will be all good they both are really bad for you.

Cigars vs. Cigarettes = Cancer vs. Cancer
-
There has NEVER been any evidence or any study that an individual who smokes one or two cigars a month (not inhaling) is more likely to get any form of cancer. If someone can provide more one example or case study linking this moderate use of cigars to cancer, then please do so!!!

"They are both really bad for you" ... that is a stupid answer, so is drinking alcohol, so is eating too much. Like everything, smoking is OK in moderation. This is where the problem sets in, cigarettes are filled with so many chemicals and rubbish that make them addictive so smoking them in moderation is normally impossible. Whereas, with Cigars, they are pure Tobacco and can be smoked in moderation. Also as is said before, cigars aren't designed to be inhaled, they are for taste in the mouth, thus causing less damage to lungs... etc whereas cigarettes are inhaled into the lungs and cause many more problems. Also, people who are saying "cigars are like smoking 10 cigarettes" are completely non-sense comments. Sure, a cigar may be ten times bigger, however it takes 50-60 times longer to smoke than a cigarette, so in the time someone smokes 1 cigar, a cigarette smoker can easily smoke 20 - 30 cigarettes. Case closed, Cigars are much less dangerous than cigarettes. Doctor Daniel Freeman, Cambridge University.

Being a cigar smoker myself, I would have to say that I feel perfectly normal after smoking for 25 years. Sure, I only smoke one, maybe two cigars a week, but as Daniel said above, a person who smokes cigarettes will often smoke more. I do not inhale my cigar smoke, I don't know anyone that does, therefore, the fact that they have no filter is completely moot. Nicotine is a nature chemical in tobacco, so you get that either way, but when you inhale the cigarette smoke, you absorb it much more rapidly. The slight amount of natural nicotine in the tobacco doesn't really come into play all that much when you don't inhale. And because cigars are all natural tobacco, they don't have any of the added nicotine or carcinogens that the cigarettes have. In short, cigars really aren't all that bad for you; however cigarettes do kill. I hope we can put this to rest once and for all.

ya i smoke lotta pot and ciggeretes and im attictied to dem. i no smoke no ciggars tho.

I love how smokers tend to defend their habit. SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOU. Cigar smoke. Cig Smoke. It doesnt matter! To say you arent inhaling a cigar is retarded. You are sitting in the smoke you exhale. Believe me, it is entering your lungs. Dont listen to any of them. Smoking is just bad! Let them wallow in their own cancer.
