Would it have been built for that or is it repurposed from some other use? It almost looks like it could have been a grain elevator or a forest fire watch tower or something.

It must be some sort of communication tower. Are there any airports close by where that is?

Not that I am aware of. I was thinking that as a possibility. This is located in the very north western tip of Indiana before entering the toll road into illinois.

Hmmm. Interesting. I'm really curious. I even tried to look on Google images and I couldn't find anything. Oh, well. Maybe someone will know.

What is it, sweetheart? I don't see the pic.

I've seen similar towers. I believe they are to keep small aircraft and helicopters on radar in more rural areas.
