If i felt he REALLY wanted to yes, we dont have the money for us both to go to college, so im letting him to go college for mortgage finance while im doing shop jobs.

I would most definitely do so and and i would not see or feel it to be a sacrifice of any kind. The happiness of others brings me more happiness than any dream i can dream :)

No, I wouldnt give up my dream, I would set it aside for now. If someone loves you, they wouldt allow you to give up your dream. they would find a way so that both of you can follow your dreams.

NO. There has to be a happy medium and compromise. My dreams are part of who I am, and if I have to give up a part of myself to be with someone, that is too much of a sacrifice for me. I have worked far too hard to get to where I am. I know that I would be resentful eventually because I would feel unfulfilled while my partner would be fulfilled and this would be unhealthy. I am not with anyone right now, but when I was with my ex, I always told him that I would be his biggest supporter in his getting away from selling drugs(he did) and pursuing some sort of education(he's working on that) but I have a master's degree, and although I still support him and we are good friends I would never give up seven years of schooling and work for him to take care of his(or any one's) issues--and for the record, I wouldn't expect him to give up on his dreams for me either.

I do that all the time... happy, well I'm ok with it, perhaps nothing profitable would have developed from mine anyway.

You bet! I put everyones happines before my own - which is what makes me happiest. My dreams are to encourage & support those around me to fufill theirs.
