  • Amp Hours are how batteries are rated in terms of capacity. Think of it as a fuel gauge, if you will. Your battery is rated at 33 AH. This theoretically means that, fully charged, it could power a 33 amp load for one hour. Or it could power a 1 amp load for 33 hours. Or it could power a 3 amp load for 11 hours. Amp Hours discharged from a bettery is calculated this way: AH = electrical load (in Amps) X time (in hours). The current draw of your trolling motor will vary depending on how you use it. If you use the motor on high speed, it will draw more current and the battery will not last as long. Conversely, if you operate it at low speed, it will draw less current and your battery will last longer. Without knowing how much current your trolling motor draws at various speeds, I cannot tell you how long your battery will last. You will just have to go fishing and find out how long the battery will last for typical use.
