I can see you are terrified, and that is normal. But an MRI isn't all that scary, and they can give you a sedative if you get claustophobic. My daughter used to have one every three months, she's down to every 6 - 9 months now. As little as she is, they give her general anesthesia every time. You might find it a bit claustrobic, and you are going to have to be perfectly still for a long time. It does make a lot of loud noise, banging sounds mostly. If it is too much for you, ask for a sedative, you'll just go to sleep and wake up when its over. You've probably seen pictures of MRI machines before. They are the size of a small room with a tube in the middle that they slide you into. There is an extremely powerful magnet inside the machine. It is going to be going around you, but you won't see it. It makes very detailed pictures of your body every 1/8th inch or so. I wish I could put your health fears at ease, but they don't do an MRI for a hang nail. It costs many thousands of dollars. So they must be afraid there is something going on in there. I won't try to diagnose it, because I'll just make you more scared and I'll probably be wrong. Just know that God will be in that MRI machine with you. He'll keep you from being too scared. He'll be there no matter what it turns out to be. He'll guide the doctors who treat you. Many doctors still pray as they work on their patients. They still pray for guidance and wisdom and skill. They know that there are many things they still don't know, but God knows them. And doctors have gotten very good at treating things that go wrong with kids. Most likely they'll be able to figure out what is wrong and fix it and life will go on like before. Try not to worry too much until you know if you really need too. I know that sounds trite, but it is coming from someone whose child has had an aneurysm, a stroke and a brain tumor. I would have lost my mind if I'd worried about every what if. I just had to let go and let God to get through it.
