ALL THE TIME...

Regularly, I mean I hate doing dishes, but it isn't right to bring my child up in filth.

Very many times. Sometimes we want to take the easy way out but our conscience does not let us and forces us do the the right thing. In the end it makes us feel better about ourselves.

yeah. its called ethics. I have to do stuff every day that I don't want to, just because it's the right thing to do. Same goes for NOT doing something that you really want to, because it would be wrong. Especially at work. (I work in a jail.) At our facility, the inmates do not move about feely. They stay in their section unless they are pulled out for church, rec, or attorney visits, stuff like that. Their meals are brought to the sections, so are their medications and laundry and hygiene products. So if I am running my ass off and busy as hell, and an inmate asks me for a roll of toilet paper because he ran out, I don't want to stop and go get it, but I do because it is the right thing to do. Many officers would make them wait until hygene products are distributed the next morning. If they ask for clean clothes because they were at court or something, it is a big pain in the ass, but I do it because it is the right thing to do. I wouldn't want to sit around in stinking dirty clothes, so I shouldn't expect them to. On the flip side, there are times when an inmate will be making a total ass of themselves and I just want to beat the bloody piss out of them. But I don't because it would not be right. I do not get physical without appropriate provocation. Ugggg...my job would be soooo much easier if I was unethical!

All the time.. Funny, people who seem to do it always end up shit on too.

I gave my son for adoption when he was 6 so he wouldn't have to grow up on welfare and so he could have a "dad" which he desperately needed. I loved him so much and it's the hardest thing I ever had to do but it was the right thing to do
