Who can teach you Reiki? Is there anyone who has practiced Reiki or have been treated with Reiki and have seen healing?

Reiki is taught only by Reiki Master (several levels) teachers, although some people try to teach it to laymen through books and tapes. I personally have been treated with it and had good results, and I know others who have had good results also. You have to be sure the person treating you has the proper training.

A Reiki Master is the only person qualified to teach Reiki - some Reiki MAsters have written books on the subject to assist with teaching, but the general consensus is that in order to be "attuned" and be able to practice Reiki, you must at least visit a Reiki Master for an atunement. My mother is a Reiki Master so I've had quite a lot of treatments- I find it effective as an aid to relaxation and for feeling more "grounded" and positive, and it certainly has its uses, but I have never seen any evidence that it has any healing ability when it comes to serious physical conditions. Some practitioners believe that when used in conjunction with other medical treatment, it can help to speed or intensify healing (probably because a more relaxed, positive person is in a better position to fight off disease) but I've not yet heard any claim that it can heal such conditions when used on its own.

I don't think you will be able to find a good class for free. You want quality as well as value. There are some people who teach on the net for less money. I don't know how good they are. What state are you in? Maybe I can help you find some information.

I am currently taking a class to become a reiki master. I myself experienced a healing from reiki but I was also under a doctors care. I had a small 4cm fibroid in my uterus. The doctor did a D&C but the symptoms did not go away. He scheduled a second surgery. A week or two before the surgery I had an my first master attunement. After the attunement I had a fleeting thought I wonder if the fibroid is gone. When he went in he could not find the fibroid. I would NEVER suggest that someone replace medical care with reiki. However I think that the two modalities used together is very powerful. That said sometimes we aren't meant to heal from a condition. In that case reiki is still helps aleave symptoms.
