I raced dinghies for about 15 years when I lived in England, starting with a Mirror dinghy when the kids were little. I've owned GP 14s, Fireballs and an RS400, and I've also raced in 505s. I've also done a little bit of cruiser sailing, but my only sailing these days is on a sailboard.

I've sailed for most of my life, but not every year, unfortunately. I've chartered a 27-footer and raced as crew in a 35-footer, both in Puget Sound, but mostly raced and day-sailed dinghies on freshwater lakes in Washington and New England. I even skippered a whaleboat off the coast of Maine (Outward Bound) more than 35 years ago, but I *do not* recommend that for the "sailing" experience, although the entire experience was wonderful, and very highly recommended. I've had a sailboat of my own for the past quarter-century. That's a 16-foot day sailer.

Slim to none. I've been on a sailboat once, many years ago and it was a remarkable, memorable experience..I've been on a catamaran once and it went so fast I really didn't enjoy it..but the sailboat, pure heaven. We were becalmed for awhile and I loved that! Happy sailing, m'dear! :) ((hugs))

I've been going on sb's for over 30 yrs(as a passenger only) but just started sailing my own 25 footer 6 months ago ..and I love it!!

Was on the water in old heavy rowing boats with Dad from as early back as I can remember. He got into lobster fishing andi joined him. Gsined commercial qualifications. Have operated a passenger ferry 60 pax. Have operated a 40ft. charter ketch as own business. Have had a number of sloops 20-24 ft. Now sail Mac 26 for fun. solo sometimes...Saddest part is I'm on the wrong side of 65.
