I have a 86 firebird 2.8L engine. When I turn on the key I don't get a SES light. Engine cranks but won't run. Grounds and voltages are good. Replaced ECM twice. Email address lweb43@yahoo.com. Let me know. Thanks.

Ignition, compression & fuel are the 3 components necessary to make ur car run. So, what's missing??? Have U pulled a Plug Wire,held it close to ground to see a Blue Hot Spark??? Lots of Spark??? Spray some fuel in the intake, does it fire??? Simple tests can tell U quickly what is the problem. F(ound) O(n) R(oad) D(ead) is known to use a system they call TFI (Thin Film Ignition) which is susceptible to heat & there have been numerous law suites over it. It is commonly found mounted to the side of the distributor ^ will present the problem u describe. They can be tested @ places like Auto Zone. John
