I havent really noticed, but at a guess i would say females, you get the genuine chicks that are in it for moral reasons... But then you get some yuppies too that just do it because its trendy...

In my country India, more females are strict vegetarians.It is because they follow Vegetarianism as a religious duty.

I would guess more females, the theory being that they tend to be more ethical.

Judging by my peers, who are vegetarians; Females. I guess; health, opposing animal killings when there are alternatives foods, its trendy, and weight. Least thats what I think. There's lots of overweight meat eaters, less fat vegatarians. Or am I wrong?

I'm sure I've read a few small-scale surveys that showed more women as being vegetarian, particularly in the 16-22 age group.
