it always surprises me (and annoys me) when someone says that I am "nice". I don't consider myself all that nice.

Quite often. I get both, the "oh, she is the sweetest nicest person" and the opposite. It is surprising because I see myself as someone with a simple lifestyle with nothing really to talk about of.

Yes. Perhaps it's just my low self-esteem, but people always think I'm smarter than I consider myself to be. Oh, and my parents have a completely different perception of me...but that's a whole other story...

No. Usually, it's the reverse. That people perceive things of me and then I surprise them, by proving otherwise--it happens quite often. I am misunderstood.

Oh yes! I am terribly shy and introverted. But I put on a mask to do my job, and I get the work done. I work hard, but I avoid social interaction with others. I had to hire an assistant one day, and there were two of us who needed the same level of assistant. When asked if an applicant had any preference to work for one or the other, she stated she would prefer the other woman, because I was "intimidating".

Yes people always think I am very self-confident... I think it has to do with being very tall, and big! I feel far from confident really ...
