  • I would say it was time, and if he was not elected there would be a nagging feeling nationally that prejudice could be a factor in his loss. The world will be watching this election because of this point, and will judge the results partly on this point. It is naive to think that race is no longer an issue, even after 50 years.
  • There's no forward or behind, in a sense, because you are only always exactly where you are. Regardless of what is happening elsewhere, every culture has to move at its own pace. All forward motion counts.
  • I say we're well overdue for a "fresh" look in the white house. And we're in dire need of fresh ideas and open minds as well. This country has done nothing but spiral downward under this administration. And it sickens me to no end that we currently have a president...AND a presidential nominee that think it's OK to legally discriminate against millions of people. We don't need people in office who want to write prejudiced amendments into our Constitution. Is this not the land of the free? I thought it was "We the People" not "We the white, Christian, heterosexual old men."
  • I would say we were on time if he was competent to do the job. Unfortunately I don't believe he is. Our choices suck this year no matter what party you vote for. Also if he is half white and half black why is he referred to as black and not white when he is equally both of those races? Just an observation.
  • Honestly, I think we are behind the times. I just hope no one targets him here simply due to his race. I'm sure you heard about the meth-heads that were wanting to assassinate him because "they can't believe he made it this far."
