Often these anti-gay people are Christians passing judgement on others, including gays and lesbians. They preach their beliefs, that this sinning lifestyle choice means they don't have a relationship with God. Sometimes these people try to use scare tactics too. Like saying HIV or AIDS is God's curse on gay people.

This kind of thing: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/720747/posts http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2005/05/13/1115843371706.html http://shakinandshinin.org/GodsCureForHomosexuality.html Most of the religion-based "cures" involve swearing celibacy and asking for forgiveness. Some involve therapy sessions which concentrate on relating homosexual feelings back to past traumatic experiences. But as the above links show, there have been some claims that a surgical "cure" can be effective in eliminating homosexual feelings (Which seems to be based on similar principles as those surrounding female circumcision in Africa- to remove sexual desire entirely- whether it's actually effective in this aim isn't certain)

My friend is gay, and has known ever since he was about 12. His dad's solution? (hardcore catholic btw) Beat the sh*t out of his son until he couldn't even see through his eyes. Did it work? Nope. He's now 47, and still gay, and proud too.

You can't "fix" anyone else especially if they dont want to be "fixed". You can try and help someone heal from a past hurt or disappointment. Only you can fix yourself.
-
mostly christians, who use brainwashing tactics to try to get a person to emulate heterosexuality. Or the use the you're going to hell crap. There have even been rumors of chemicals being used(I have no evidence to support such claims tho.

most anti-gay people need help to turn a light switch on ...as far as 'fixing' anyone I know a good vet

ROTFLMAO!!!
-
Really it's not of their business and they should leave gay people alone. However, they are entitled to their opinions as long as they don't act on their hostility.

Well i would pick up a Bible and see that it say" Judge ye not". Then i would know that i am comfortable with my sexuality....Then let them be..They can't fix something that is not broke..Straight people are not broke.. I have the knowledge to know the things i can change and the stregnth to accept what i can't....It works for me...but i am not anti-gay nor am i gay...I am just HUMAN.....

There is an ocean of people out there that think they can 'fix' other people. I haven't seen one that can yet, on anything. They have to make that decision theirselves. Driving harder at someone just pushes them away harder, this makes wars.
