It's an old article, but the show hasn't really changed much. I never found her too sexy. I don't think of her as sexy at all, just a pleasant lady who cooks on a TV show. If anything, I think her head is too big and she has too many teeth when she smiles. I've seen way more cleavage from Sandra Lee who wears chiffon dripping sleeves when frying foods and cooking on her stove. Good thing it's not a gas stove or she would have gone up in flames years ago. Giada has been pushed as Food Networks answer to Nigella, before they got Nigella. The pace of the show, the camera shots, all were done just like Nigella Bites. SO they can't complain when people see the 'sex' in the show since that is what they went looking for.
