If the word 'God' was changed to another word or phrase, would it help those that have difficulty in believing because they are spiritual rather than religious. Encourage an open mind about exactly what is 'God'. Do you use or prefer another word?

I would say the obvious alternative would be deity, though that is just a synonym, and there are at least a few more of those. Other than that, I would say I would have to resort to names such as Savior, Creator, Redeemer, Comforter.

I believe there is a difference between religion and spirituality. One can be spiritual without being religious. It is religions that tout the specifics, names, dates, deities, formulas, prescriptions, injunctions and so forth. But to be spiritual, to me, is to acknowledge a "higher power", to recognize that love and acceptance is the true key to peace and happiness and that the way to happiness is open to everyone. I believe that we are here to learn and to teach and that we continue our efforts until we have perfected them. That, to me, would be heaven.

I believe in the very words Christ spoke. I believe in the Word of God. The truth is in the bible as I believe. Its a relationship not a religion to me and you don't have to change the wording to believe. When you have been touched in your heart the way I have all that other stuff does not matter. Its a relationship for me and it has set me so free. thanks for the question.

Yes, it should be changed back to "DOG" as initially used in the Bible but lost during during the first translation
