Evolution does not weed out body parts that we don't use. As an example, take the appendix and tonsils. Even if it did, why would we have no ears? Do you not find ears useful?!

Yes, for many people it's hard to listen - they'd rather just talk & talk, especially about themselves... but hey, let's look on bright side - maybe future humans will have a bigger heart too? (Love your question Otter - you have a great sense of humour!)
