I was picked on in middle school and had to enter high school with no friends too. Eventually I did have some friends who didn't pick on me and it grew into a group. We lasted throughout high school somewhat and it was the best times of my life. Just start with hi, my name is_____ or an introduction. Join more clubs in high school and go to places where you normally don't. Expose yourself to more new places. If someone wants to meet you and express interest, just meet this person. I did, and it turned out to become great memories. You can join a sport and see who you can meet from the other team in another school.

If someone drops something, pick it up and hand it to them.If someone needs a pencil, hand them one(not your last one). If someone falls and drops all their books, give them a hand up.Everyone else will be walking by and not helping. This is a very relaxed way to meet someone and you dont need to have a big conversation at first.A nice intro will do. "Need a pen? Here you go."Simple and to the point.

Just be yourself, and talk to the people who sit around you in your classes if you don't know it. Introduce yourself and just keep the conversation light and friendly. Also, joining an activity/sport/club is a great way to meet new people and make friends. And I promise you, I'm sure you aren't the only one feeling like they have nobody to hang with. But if you do have to be by yourself, like at lunch or something... bring something to do to occupy yourself, and just act confident.

Join a sport, or some type of activity like theater, chorus, some type of club... something you like..its an easy way for people to get to know you and lots of fun and good to put on college apps!
