Well some run marathons nude to raise money for charities. They do it to help other people. Some people just might choose it to attract attention. BTW how do you like my avatar?

I like it mostly because it just feels more comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I have my favorite set of clothes, but given the choice I would stay nude.

From what I have heard of nudists, it has more to do with that being their own personal comfort, than any sort of "question the arbitrary rules, man!" mentality.

My wife and I tried and really enjoyed our first public "nudist" experiences over the past 3 years, at "clothing optional" beaches at 2 resorts in the Carribean. We are going to one that is a "nudist resort" in November, a place we visited for a day last winter and loved. There guest go nude all over the property, even playing tennis! It just feels so much better to be nude in a tropical place. Swimming and sunning nude is so much better than the sandy, wet bathing suit approach. I think that just about anyone who has tried it would agree. There is also a sensation of liberation being nude in a group situation. We've also found that people are FAR more friendly (it is, at the places we've been, non-sexual). They actually talk with each other, and there are all types of people who are nudists. Another thing we've learned is that it really is totally natural to be nude and any self-consciousness goes away in about a minute or two!
