  • You ask a very good question and I can see why it might be confusing. The executioner is not acting on his own accord, but as an agent of the State which is actually carrying out the sentence. He is simply a part of a machine. While I do not personally believe in this form of justice, the agents are not responsible for the outcomes of carrying out their roles. Society has the right to use this punishment with or without my agreement that it is wise. Keep asking hard questions.
  • God created human life, and God has the right to end it any time and in any way he chooses. After the Flood, Noah was told that from that time on, if any man or animal should shed human blood (that is, kill him) he should be punished with the death penalty carried out by another man. This other man was acting as God's agent and therefore was not guilty. In the rest of Genesis and especially Exodus this law was explained and expanded, exceptions spelled out and so forth. Of course, if you don't think the Bible comes from God you have to come up with your own answers.... such as that a busy executioner is actually a lifesaver, since the rate of murder has been shown again and again to be in inverse relationship with the number of executions.
  • and then the vicious cycle will continue....... hahah then everybody would die ='(
