It is perfectly normal to worry about such things. This is one of the big differences between being a grown up and being a child. Children tend to only look at the moment to moment things. They don't think long term. They are more concerned with the here and now and what they want. Adults look at the more long term situation and worry about what the future might hold. Adults seek to prepare for what might come down the road. Parents have been worrying about their children's future for as long as society has existed while the children just continue to lead their lives. Quite frankly, I would be worried about you if you weren't concerned about your child's future.

I worry and I don't even have kids yet. My husband and I are ready to start a family and quite honestly with the state of the world today, I'm not sure I want to. But I also feel certain that my parents felt the same way as did their parents before them. I think that once you have a child, you're fated to worry at least a little every day. And that's not a bad thing...but that's just one person's opinion!

I understand completely. Its normal. I do the same thing with my kids, and theyre only three yrs. old! I think every parent worries about this.
