Very yes, because just this April, we visited Vietnam for a few days. The highlight of our trip was a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where the Viet Cong hid from American troops during the war. Here's a picture of a booby trap in that area:

When our family used to sit down for dinner, we always had the news on. I was young, but I remember pretty much every night seeing Vietnam on the news.

Sort of, yes ... I was not a part of it, but I remember hearing of it and seeing a few news clips with everything from protest marches to scenes taken from aircraft as bombs were being dropped.

I was born in 1977, so no. However I do know it was one of America's longest wars..I think it started in 1957..I am not sure???

Like it was yesterday. My brother was a marine in the Vietnam war. We were always anxious about news about the war escalating, etc. The war was on tv 24/7. You couldn't even have lunch without the war, no matter where you went. I remember how our fellow classmates were drafted out of college in this huge auditorium, where we(the girls) accompanied them, praying they wouldn't call their registration number. There are stories out there. Many more to tell.....
