When I turn on my kitchen hot water faucet, the water stops flowing after about 30 seconds. The handle remains in the position I left it and doesn't move. How can I fix it?

I didnt quite get the question. So the faucet turns on, then stops flowing completely? Is it on full speed when that happens? I assume it would have to be tightened, or needs a new washer.

You need to replace the washer. The old one is swelling from the heat and closing off the valve opening.
