Not too far. You don't whether they might think it's okay to drink and drive. Or even know how competent & experienced a driver they are . And if you're meeting up with them, you don't want to be too far away from familiar territory on a first date.

I think holding hands and maybe 1 kiss at the end of the night is enough. they should go to a well lit well populated area: restaurant, mall, etc. they should never be alone..don't set themselves up for trouble.

I've gone pretty much all the way. Depends on how much we click, etc. I personally hold no stigma where sex is considered. If I want to have sex on the first date, I will. That's just generally not the case..

If by way of 'intimacy', you are speaking of sexual closeness, not just enjoying being kissed or hugged, then no further than I would on a 2nd, 3rd, 15th, 100th, etc. I do not agree with premarital sex.

Maybe, MAYBE, offer a hand to aid them from the car if it's sitting lower than usual and may prove difficult to exit without assistance. On a third date, maybe a peck kiss on the lips or slightly off with permission from said date only.
