  • Newspaper insulation.
  • Are you outside or inside? Its a big difference.
  • Keep moving, sometime during the day try to exercise. The Scandanavians have saunas in their homes and try to sit in them at least once a week. From personal experience, down filled coats and comforters keep me the warmest.
  • Once I had to wait over an hour outside with inadequate clothing for my driver to come out, and started walking in the direction of home (35 miles away). When the driver came out and they caught up with me, the other two people who'd been waiting for him thought that was hysterical, but I said "An average-sized human being produces as much internal heat while standing as a 100-watt light bulb, and as much heat while walking as a 400-watt light bulb. Besides which the wind was at my back, reducing its relative speed by 3 miles per hour. Am I still stupid?"
  • Assuming you want an honest answer: Find out what they wore to shoot that movie, March of the Penguins. I remember them saying how freakin cold it was and yet they were all fine. (They didn't even look like the stay puff marshmallow man!) Now, if you're looking for the humorous answer, slide yourself into the middle of a split cow carcass. Sorry vegetarians. The meat will freeze from the outside in, keeping you warm. Saw it on TV once (:
