In a system where money is power, should the poor be granted some degree of extra protection from the government to help compensate for their relative lack of power to protect themselves?

Money is earned, for the main difference between the poor and the working class is that the working class, well, works, and does not depend on disability or welfare . . .

They do have extra protection. It's called the Constitution.

There needs to be a mechanism available to give the poor the power to get better jobs, such as education or skill training. That is much more important and effective than protection.

There is also power in #'s. Want something bad enough, make it happen, work for it, speak up, be heard. The govenment works for us!!!!!!!!!! We don't work for them. If people want things to change, education is the ticket.

I seriously doubt that those in power with the big bucks give a rat's ass about the poor. Usually, all they care about is getting theirs..once they get theirs(or maybe they were born with it in the family), it's everyone for him/herself. In fact, those that have theirs generally look "down" upon those who have little or nothing, always ascribing it to lack of trying..being lazy..any excuse so that they (the R/P) don't have to think about it. Yep..the powerful/monied class generally think of themselves and their kind and that's all they think about..keeping what they have, getting more of it, and fighting any attempt to share! They stick with their own kind..everyone else scares the bejesus out of them:(
