Can Tai Chi be used as a Martial Art ? It consists of really slow movements. I can't imagine a Tai Chi martial artist defend himself if two thugs get him on the street.

I didn't know that. Thank you very much for your help. I'll probably sign to a Tai Chi Chuan class. I want to try Tai Chi because I think it will develop my body ( and my mind of course) in ways that I've not been used to ( surely different ways that karate and kickboxing). +4
