    I don't know if I'd be offended unless his tone made it clear it was meant to be an insult.     I think it has to do with the tone and his choice of words. I would be offended if I was told that something I was doing wasn't 'good enough'. That's a huge slap in the face, but if someone was to direct me in what to do, I'd be a little more appreciative. Communication is very important and I think that he needs to learn how to communicate a little better.
