"Never to have lost" is not in our hands if fate is playing its role. We all strive towards that ideally. Thinking positive, "loved then lost" exposes you to that part of life where you experience the pain of loosing. And Experience in life is always good so that we can be prepared for such another situation. Thus I feel that we try to never loose at all, but if the fate is that it has to be lost, then accept it.

Second one!

After all the pain and disappointment, I still go with the first one - better to love and lose. You have to take risks in life. "Don't cry because its over - Smile because it happened."

Never to have loved at all...i think you mean.. It's better to have lost and know that you have been loved and that you can be loved again :)

Of course!

i think its better not to love truely if u r going to lose it... cuz losing someone u really love is the worst things that can happen to someone ..

nah.

I think in all honesty it is better to have never loved at all. The loss of a true love can haunt one's soul for decades. The questions of what may have been can gnaw at one soul creeping into one thoughts and dreams. Poisoning the relationship you have.

They both have PROS and CONS. Personally i would rather have love lost becasue i would have good memories from the love.

I think it's the same as a bird in the hand gathers no moss.
