nope. it rocks. I WISH it had ever happened to me. if you say yes when he asks you out then it could mean "eh, I got nothing better to do." and sometimes mean "I don't want to make him feel bad" if you ask him out it means "dude, you are worth my time and effort." which message would you rather send?

No. I wish I was asked out more often. Guys like to know they are interesting and wanted, too, you know. Its pretty lonely being the one to ask all the time, even if she accepts a date you still dont know what or how she feels. Guys always put themselves on the line, risking rejection. I know girls dont want to be rejected either, and have less experience... but I dont think its wrong for a girl to ask a guy out. You cant very well expect him to ask first if he isnt even interested to begin with... but that doenst mean he wont be after you ask.

Don't wait around for him to get interested in someone else, ask him! Heaps of guys are way too shy to ask, so you might have been waiting for a long time. Making the first move is particularly important if the guy you're interested in isn't on the same social level as you.
