  I can't see the female viewpoint, for obvious reasons. But I've "been around the block" a few times (and around the world a few times as well). I've seen how things can turn to crap, and how they can turn out good.
  But the kid asked the question four years ago. She had ONE question, and she hasn't been back since. She's been a mama for 3 years already.

• i agree its not the greatest[im a different anon. btw[ but its actually 70 percent whilst condoms are 85....15 percent is not that huge of a percentage difference

• "Pulling out" is certainly NOT a "viable method of birth control." It's only slightly more effective than not pulling out.
  It's 72% effective only under absolutely optimum conditions, when the man knows undeniably when he is beginning to ejaculate. Even Planned Parenthood admits that most men don't or can't be certain of this every time.

• I checked out your link - it only recommends pulling out as an enhancement to spermicides and sponges, not as a method in itself.

• Bottom line: condoms are not foolproof. Even used properly, they can and sometimes do leak.
  LATEX IS POROUS. Although the latex slows them down, some sperm can filter through.
  Sub-bottom line: the girl is well on her way to becoming a first-class slut. And she's already an unwed mother. For three years now. She's not getting any of this; we are all arguing in a vacuum.

• My parents have been having sex about three times a week for over 25 years, have two children, both planned, and they only use condoms for birth control.

• I'd say low, but not extremely low. And it isn't all that rare for some women to have monthly courses while pregnant.
