so that when you get that job you make more money for that nicer place and at the new job you meet really cool people to hang out with after work or on your days off ;)
-
Because if you continue to do those things to the best of your ability, chances are your room at the end of the day won't be so depressing anymore.
-
Wow. That's depressing. No point I guess. Be a slob then!
-
So that you can pay for that same depressing room you just left. That is the point in its entirety.

Move your room round , it works wonders , trust me.

because its part of the human existence experience. i would recommend doing what youve been doing, but change one thing. dream bigger dreams and youll eventually get out of that depressing room. try a nice walk in the sunshine. itll improve your mood. if you stay cooped up indoors all the time you could get scurvy.

Color can go a long way toward setting the mood and energy level in a room. Use bright, warm colors - such as coral or apple green - to impart a feeling of coziness in the room. Add cheer with yellow. It can lift your spirits. Think red when you want to invigorate your environment. Let cool colors such as sage green and sky blue wrap you in a calm ambiance, neutrals such as pale gray, taupe and beige, which exert a restful influence. Set a young, playful mood with primary colors. Avoid bright white, which tends to be very stark and unsettling. First of all, Welcome to the Human Race. I'm glad you could join us. Now... What's the point? Because for all that time you're NOT "being in the same depressing room you left", you are MUCH less depressed, if at all, right? You're concentrating on the wrong thing... You're concentrating on when you're alone, rather than when you're with other people. Home, for many, is just "a place for your stuff" (thank you George Carlin), and a place to sleep. For others, it's their life. If you feel you are spending too much time alone at home, then find something else to do... Go bowling... Go shoot some pool... Go to an arcade... A movie... A concert... a... You get the idea? Find a hobby you like to do... Genealogy... Scrapbooking... Collecting something... whatever, and concentrate on that when you're home. If your room/home is depressing, then do something to make it less so... Decorate it with things you like... Paint it with colors you like (bright colors are better for mood)... Spend more time outside, either on the porch or deck or in the back yard... There are all kinds of ways to get over the "What's the point..." mood, too... Look FORWARD to a new job, new friends, etc. Don't concentrate and look back on those who have come before. They are the past. Look to the future.

Waiting to die is much more comfortable when you don't smell like the Tropics. :P
