If you commence your journey from New Zealand, then stop off in Australia; it's great.

Hill City is nice. Wall Drug is interesting enough. I hear Bear Country is great... there's a Reptile Garden... Are you traveling with children? And from what direction are you coming? There is absolutely nothing (that I know of) in Wyoming or Nebraska worth seeing... Perhaps Little America... but really nothing.

Depends which way your going. If you're headed there from the east, Wall Drug is a place to stop, I suppose.

According to Phoebe, if you go the north route you can see a beard of bees, but if you go the south route, you can see a chicken that plays tic tac toe.

Right close to Mount Rushmore are "Crazy Horse" and of course, the Sturgis Black hills Rally goes all through that area, which makes every small town a party town for about a month. There are some cool things to do in Rapid city. What direction will you be travelling?
