  • you should read this book by Stephen King.. it's called desperation Amazing book, really gets you thinking about gods plan. I felt like a puppet for quite a while, if there is a god, this is just a show we seem to be putting on for him.
  • intelligent question... who is God do u think ?
  • he gave theses people life if you look at the big pisture he technically never takes it away even the losers go on they're just in hell
  • It depends on what god you're talking about.
  • No he gave us a choice and life is one very long test to see where we will go in heaven. BTW I believe in no afterlife so I say have fun.
  • Because living forever would cause the world to fill to bursting and life would be shit for all eternity.
  • Freewill, the only thing you actually own. We have the capacity to choose either Him or hell, that simple. Skip the human logic on this, you'll never get it on that level. I do believe in hell.
  • Well, I think the fact that God punishes Adam and Eve for not having an ability that he didn't give them when he created them is even worse than that. Also the fact that he committed global genocide with that whole worldwide flood thing. Human freewill didn't cause that.
  • If you believe the Adam and Eve story, you have to believe in talking snakes (just for a start).
  • No, for while He allows much evil, especially Satan, He is NOT the author of sin. He creates, and creation perverts. The life that He wants for all of mankind is VOLUNTARY, and all the evil, in its many degrees and forms, points to the fact that man is innately depraved and we need God.
  • I got kicked out of Bible class for asking questions like that, and finally gave up in disgust. A being like that cannot be true.
  • You have fresh food, but you decide not to eat it. You let it sit a few days. You let it sit a few more days. Eventually, flies start to come around to consume it. You complain about the flies and wish they'd just go away. If you are honest with yourself, you'd admit that the food was fresh at one time and that there were no flies around. But rot started to set in , and now the flies are doing what flies do, consume the rot. If one is wise, they'd acknowledge that the freshness of that food is more preferrable than the fly-infested rotten food. Satan on a spiritual level, IS the fly to consume those who are spiritually rotten to God. Stop rotting, and he goes away!
  • You'll be happier if you stop trying to "correct" other people's beliefs.
  • You don't even have to get that conceptual about it. There are plenty of instances mentioned in the Bible in which Yahweh has cut out the middleman and killed people en mass himself. The great flood, for instance. Were I'm looking to paint Yahweh as a genocidal maniac, I wouldn't even bother mentioning Genesis, that's a whole nother story, and can, with the right twist of logic, be concievably seen as Eve's fault rather than God's anyway. Actions like the great flood, on the other hand... Well, the Bible is pretty clear that those were done by God personally.
  • God is the personification of love. God wanted to share his love with beings that could appreciate love. In order for one to appreciate he must be able to do the exact opposite, not appreciate or love back. If not we would not appreciate but rather we would be programmed. Hence no free will, hence no real love, hence no appreciation, hence no point in creating life forms. Make sense?
  • This describes to me what I see as other people seeing in God...
  • Satan had his choice. It was God's way or the highway, and guess what Satan chose? Think about it: What kind of God would he be if he just MADE us do every thing?
  • It is possible. Luke 18:27 But He said "The things that are impossible with people are possible with God". 1st John 4:4 ...."Greater is he who is within you than he who is in the world". We can't see it, touch it feel it, we have to just take Him at His Word ( which is infallible ), and believe it to be true. Try Him in any of this, and you'll see for yourself it is true. It may be "wierd" at first, but as you try again and again this other reality ( which has always been there anyway) starts to open your eyes and mind toward the things of God. The flesh (look at your skin) will not understand it, but the spirit in which God has placed in you, will. Frankly, spiritually, you're starved. This is not an insult, but an acknowledgment that if you pursue the truth, He will gladly open the door for you, but you must come in faith FIRST.
  • all men will now die.. if they choose CORRECTLY... they all get to heaven
  • It's all lies, how much ridiculous idiocy do people need to be force fed before they accept that?
  • Would you have preferred that no one had free will?
  • This is the basic problem with religion. If God is omnipotent, then he is responsible for all evil. If he is only good, then he cannot be omnipotent.
  • God does not answer to man, and it is not for man to question the mind of God. To one who believes, death is only the end of life as we know it and the beginning of the life God intends for us to have, the one he intended all along. He gave man the freedom to accept or reject it as he wished. The life we have now is, more or less, a "staging area" to prepare for the next one. This does not apply to non believers and they are not expected to understand it.
  • considering how many of those people were going to die anyways (ie, all of them) and how many were given life by God in the first place (ie, all of them) what difference does it make that He killed them of old age or a flood, or a war they started themselves, or.. unless of course you mean about the fact that death entered the world through and sin through adams decision. well, you have to know that sin is a decision everyone makes of their own. just cuz God knows thats the decision you are going to make, doesnt mean He should let you make it, and hence make you a slave. sort of like how parents let their kids make mistakes, sure, theyll bang their knees, but there they are to wipe away the blood, comfort them and put a little disney bandaid on it and make it all better.. if the kid runs to their parents for the help. they could always blame their parents for letting them ride the bike in the first place of course.. but that would be dumb.. the point is that while death did enter the world through adams decision to sin, it is through Christ's atoning work on the cross that we are free from that death if we repent and accept Him as our only Lord and sufficient Savior. (ie, running only to Him when we have scraped our knee, and not the neighbors wife) He's there to fix us up if we want Him to. but its our pride and ignorance that prevents us from it, and many people go so far as to blame Him. which i dont understand.
  • If death was the end then you might have a point. But since everyone who believes in God also believes in everlasting life after death, what is your point? God wants to share eternal happiness in heaven with all human beings. With love in Christ.
  • He would be if he were real.
  • I say it's entrapment! Sue the bastard!
  • Why do you think it was Satan who tempted Eve? My Bible says it was a snake; and a walking, talking snake at that. But it was Eve, not the snake, who tempted Adam. Eve had never been told not to eat the fruit of that tree; only Adam was told that, before that silly rib thing.
  • we as humans do not understand God and what He does because we are men, which the Lord created. If we could hold all the understanding of God's character in our human brains, then He wouldn't be God! Humans have so many faults and have such finite minds we cannot expect to understand a perfect and holy (totaly serparated from sin) Lord of all. The Bible says God is not willing that any should parish but that all would come to repentence. God gave us free will because He did not want earth to be inhabited by mindless robots, that do right because they are programed to; He wants us to choose to do the do the right thing because we love Him. The Bible also says in Proverbs that only the fool hath said in His heart there is no God. If God stopped being omniscient, all powerful, holy, righteous, loving, gracious etc. for one second, He would stop bieng God forever. God still sits on His throne in heaven with Christ on His right hand, so it is obvious that thoughout His whole existance, which is eternity, He has never sinned or changed in anyway. Man cannot understand His love, because naturaly we have none. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doeth good, no, not one (Romans 1:11-12). Romans one also says, "the wrath of God is revealed form heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men." If the Lord has holy wrath against our transgressions He certainly would not put up with any in His own bieng. I know God is real and that His love is everlasting! He loves the world so much that He GAVE His only son. Would anyone give there most prized possesion to save all people ( who hate him) if they were a genocidal maniac? God created Satan as a beautiful angle. Yes, God knew He would fall to temptation. It is exactly the same as Him giving us life everyday even though He knows thousands of times a day each of us will mock, hate, and sin directly against the one Who died that we "might have life, and have it more abundantly" (Mathew). God loves you and He has given all for you. If you are not willing to except His free gift of salvation, I am sorry to say that is your own foolishness. I hope that you will read and study the Bible; it is God's gift to us so that we might know Him. Im am praying that you would come to a saving knowledge of God and be freed form the bondage of sin. Only then will God give you the wisdom to begin to understand His character. Psalm 119 is a prayer to God asking that He might open His word to us, that we might know Him. I beleive you should read it.
  • It is possible if I believed he was real, but from the crazy stuff that goes on in this world, it's to far fetched to think it is the doing of an imaginary man. I'm pretty sure it was just stupid human beings.
  • God did not create satan, The Scriptures indicate that the creature known as Satan did not always have that name. Rather, this descriptive name was given to him because of his taking a course of opposition and resistance to God. The name he had before this is not given. God is the only Creator, and ‘his activity is perfect,’ with no injustice or unrighteousness. (De 32:4) Therefore, the one becoming Satan was, when created, a perfect, righteous creature of God. He is a spirit person, for he appeared in heaven in the presence of God. (Job chaps 1, 2; Re 12:9) Jesus Christ said of him: “That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him.” (Joh 8:44; 1Jo 3:8) Jesus here shows that Satan was once in the truth, but forsook it. Beginning with his first overt act in turning Adam and Eve away from God, he was a manslayer, for he thereby brought about the death of Adam and Eve, which, in turn, brought sin and death to their offspring. (Ro 5:12) So, from a righteous, perfect start, this spirit person deviated into sin and degradation.
  • all in the blink of an eye all in his game we are but the pawns being moved
