A lot of the electric bushes have two minute timers on them. To brush thoroughly two minutes does seem to be about right. It gives you time to go around each tooth. Older electric brushes seem to clean just as well as the newer ones in my opinion. Brush strokes on newer ones have more oscillations per second, but aren't totally necessary. Most companies come out with more oscillations per second to make people think they are better. They do that do keep up the market share of the business.
