Yes - sometimes I get so carried away that I forget to award the points. It isn't always intentional.

I never pay attention to author of question I just answer the question!!

Sure. People get busy at times. If they asked quality questions, I'd always answer them.

There are users who don't give points to the answers they receive. They also don't leave comments. It seems they aren't interested in the answers at all. I usually avoid the questions of such users. I only answer their questions when I'm extremely bored. Let's face it, we need some form of recognition for the things that we do, whether online or offline.

Absolutely! If that was the criteria, I probably wouldn't hardly do anything on the 'Bag, LoL!

If they acknowledged the answer with a simple "thank you", I wouldn't care about points/no points. What I think is very rude is people who ask questions to rake in points and never acknowledge the person who took the time to answer their question. Rude, impolite and arrogant to boot. If they give points and still don't thank you, they're still rude. If I must choose between the two, I will take "thank you" over points any day of the week! :)
